Top 11 of 2011 (#1 Japan's Great Quake)

The world paused on Friday March 11, 2011 when a massive earthquake struck just a few miles off the coast of Japan. The earthquake measured a 9.0 on the rector scale, making it one of the most powerful earthquakes to ever strike Japan and fifth strongest in world history.This earthquake was so powerful that it shifted the Earth's axis between 4-10 inches and moved part of Japan closer to the US by 7.9 feet. The earthquake was just the beginning of the nightmare; a huge tsunami was kick up by the earthquake and it spread across the Pacific Ocean with fury. The tsunami caused catastrophic damage along Japan's cost line and even moderate to light damage in Hawaii and California. The tsunami also set off a nuclear nightmare at Japan's Fukushima power plant causing a massive evacuation within a 50 mile radius. I've always been a big fan of the Japanese lifestyle and culture and I will continue to show my love and support. I hope in 2012 things get better for Japanese people and everybody else greatly effected by this major natural disaster.

Steve Jobs is the most intellectual inventor of our time; who revolutionized the way we live our lives. Mr. Jobs  and his friend/partner Steve Wozniak started the Apple computer company in 1976 and over the years it grew, becoming the leader on the PC front. He also created and implemented technology that had never been available, in all his computers and gadgets making them wildly popular around the world. Steve Jobs is such an inspiration to anybody trying to live out their dreams because he showed us that impossible is possible. His presence and intellect will be greatly missed; I know the people at Apple will keep his spirit alive with the release of more revolutionary products. Apple will continue to be the leader in 2012 and beyond.

The Royal wedding (Prince William and Kate Middleton) was by far one the top headline makers of 2011. Prince William and Kate have been dating for a few years and in October 2010 he popped the question; befitting her finger with same wedding ring his mother (Princess Diana) wore. Not to long after, they announced their wedding date which was set for April 29, 2011. The wedding took place at the world famous Westminster Abby; the entire royal family and laundry list of celebs/famous people where in attendance. The world haven't something so royal and special since his mother and father's wedding on July 29, 1981. I think they will be adding to the royal family in 2012; cause it's just a matter of time before she gets pregnant.

This was the year of "Reality TV", some of the most watched shows on television this year where reality show. From the cast of Jersey Shore doing Italy, to Chrissy hard right hook on Love and Hip Hop millions of viewers couldn't stop tuning in. Some people might say these show are not as real as they claim to be but I have a difference in opinion. Although there are a few haters almost everybody can't get enough of reality TV and its stars. I know I have my favorites do you? So continue to tune in and see what 2012 has in store for the reality TV world.

Top 11 of 2011 (#5 2011 Tornado Outbreak)

The 2011 tornado outbreak (April 25-28) was the worst outbreak ever recorded in the United States; affecting the Midwest, Southern, and Northeastern  parts of the United States. This outbreak caused 11 billion dollars in in damage and took 344 lives. The worst of the outbreak occurred on April 27, 2011; with over 200 tornado touchdowns four of them being powerful enough to be classified as EF5 (winds 200mph +), and one of them hitting a moderate size city (Tuscaloosa, AL) causing major destruction. Outside of the "Great Tornado Outbreak Of 2011" another major tornado (EF5) touchdown on May 22, 2011 and almost wipe the town of Joplin, Missouri off the map.

After 10 years of hunting for the master mind behind the 9/11 attacks on the United States, they finally nailed his a$$ in Pakistan on May 2, 2011. President Barack Obama order the the rad on Osama's home in Pakistan after several years intelligence; after the rad was carried out the infamous Bin Laden was finally dead. This was a huge lost for Al Qaeda and its followers; throwing a huge wrench into their plans to destroy the United States.

I know when ever Michael Jordan decides to release one of his famous sneakers people come out in large numbers to get a pair; but for the release of the Jordan 11 Concords it was more like mass hysteria. People came out by the 10's of thousands to snag a pair of these fresh kicks. Long lines, fights, mini riots, and even death are all the stories that surrounded the release of these sneakers. I've been apart of the Jordan crowd before but never have I ever seen or heard so much chaos going on around the release of a pair of Jordan kicks. I just hope next time he releases a pair of sneakers people act more civilize (and not like wild animals).

Top 11 of 2011 (#8 East Coast Disaster Week)

The week of August 21 was a week to remember for everybody in the eastern part of the USA. On August 23, 2011 a major earthquake (5.8 on the rector scale) struck about 5 miles away from Richmond, VA in Louisa County, VA. The earthquake was felt from Chicago to Maine and cause minor to moderate damage in Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas. This was one of the biggest quakes to hit this area in decades and it scared the s**t out of everyone who felt it. As if the earthquake wasn't enough the eastern part of the USA faced another major disaster; hurricane Irene. This monster of a storm grew into major Atlantic hurricane within a matter of days making three landfalls (one of which was in Coney Island, Brooklyn) causing major flooding from the Caribbean to East Coast of the United States, also causing $10.1 billion damage and killing about 47 people. I hope 2012 is a little quiet  as far as disasters go, cause I think everybody had all they can take.

Rebecca Black (without a doubt) is 2011's biggest breakout star; her claim to fame is her single "Friday".  Rebecca was just your average teenager with big dreams, when her and her mother decided to make some of them dreams come true. With $4000 and help from a few people she created her smash hit "Friday" with a video to go along. Rebecca uploaded her music/video to YouTube (for fun) and it quickly blew up for all the wrong reasons. It wasn't really the song people hated it was her voice everybody had an issue with. Even though people say they hated this song her YouTube views kept growing by large numbers; grabbing the attention of everyone. Before long Rebecca Black started making TV/radio appearances (and was even asked by Katy Perry to be in her video "TGIF"). Rebecca Black made all the right moves in 2011 and this why she the break out star of the year. So stop hating on her and take note because she has the recipe to become an instant celebrity.

I never seen so much hype surrounding a video game like the hype surrounding "Call Of Duty MW3". This was the most anticipated video game of the year; and once released it would shatter so many records. In just 16 days of its release Call Of Duty grossed about $1 billion sales, shattering the previous of 60 days to a billion. There wasn't a person I knew who didn't have this game or had it on their wish list. People wanted this game so bad  they went as far as committing crimes just to get their hand a copy. I wonder will the release of  MW4 be just as bad??

Beyonce finally decided it was a fine time to be a mommy, so her and hubby Jay-Z made magic in 2011. What do you get when you take to superstars and throw a baby in the mix; one of the biggest trending topics of the year. It was during the 2011 VMA's when Beyonce let the whole world know her and Jay were expecting their first child (can you say over the top). Shortly after her big revel the rumor mill started spinning fast. A lot of people suspected Beyonce of faking her pregnancy to help sell her album "4" which was also released in 2011. An appearance on an Australian TV show really kicked the rumors in to high gear, when it seem like Beyonce was wearing a fake baby bump. I think Beyonce and Jay-Z throw a little mystery into the situation to throw everybody off; I mean at the end of the day who wants people knowing the details of their personal life. I wish the Beyonce and Jay-Z all the best in 2012.

Even if I can't afford it right now, the all new 2012 Ferrari FF is still my favorite thing for the 2011 holiday season. The Ferrari FF is the first ever 4 wheel drive car the company has made; yes this baby can do snow and ice. Its about the same size as the new Ford Focus, has room for four, and finally got an front end engine (which allowed FF to have hatchback trunk space). This is as close as it gets to a Ferrari SUV and yes I'm in love. One day my hands will grip that steering wheel!!!!

Soso Bad Favorite Things (Christmas 2011)

One of my favorite things for 2011 has to be Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3. This was one of the most highly anticipated video games this year (or maybe even "ever").  Gamer's across the world went crazy, even committing crimes for the love of the game. MW3 was released on Nov 8, 2011 and within 24hrs the game sold 6.5 million copies in the USA and UK; grossing over $400 million making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time. In my opinion Call Of Duty is one of the best first-person shooter games ever created. In honor of MW3, Jeep got in on the action when they released the "Jeep Wrangler MW3 Edition" at the same time the game launched. The Jeep Wrangler is decked out with all the MW3 bells and whistles, and carries a price tag of $22,045. If you haven't done so go pick your copy of Call Of Duty MW3 (it makes a great Christmas gift), and if you really doing big thing check out that Jeep Wrangler MW3 Edition.

This video was shot on the 7th floor of a Tokyo department store during the mega quake that struck Japan on March 11, 2011. You can hear the full force of the earthquake as the building rocked from side to side. You can hear the fear in room as the quake grew stronger and stronger. This video was even more dramatic because there were alot of women, children, and elderly people the store at the time. Thank god nobody was hurt and the building held up to the full force of nature.

Chrissy Went H.A.M (Love and Hip Hop)

   Last night was the premier of Vh1's "Love and Hip Hop" season 2, and there was already major drama. Along with the original cast two new faces have been added this season Yandy Smith (Jim Jone's manager) and Kim "Kimbella" Vanderhee (Julez Santana's baby's mother). The show started off on the good foot showing the ladies from the first season getting along and making major moves (Emily). Emily finally got enough balls to leave her baby's father and long time boyfriend (rapper Fabolous), after she realize how foolish their "relationship" made her look. What Emily didn't see coming was Kimbella, and what she didn't know was her and Kim had so much in common (Fabolous). 

   The first sign that s**t might hit the fan was at Yandy's jewelry showing, Kim seem like she was ready to tell Emily that her and Fab use to date 3 years ago. She never got her chance to speak to Emily because the party was kind of a distraction and she seem fearful. Emily decided to throw a party of her own in honor of her new found freedom, she invited the ladies for drinks and good times. Things where going good until Yandy and Kim showed up. I really don't know why Kim felt the need to want to tell Emily her little secret, but it certainly wasn't the time or place. Kim without blinking her eyes came out and said "Oh, I'm glad your moving on because you know I use to date Fab like 3 years ago", can you say bad idea!!! Although Emily took it lightly, Kim really pissed Chrissy off and that is when all hell broke loose. Chrissy lost her mother f**king mind and she tried to kill Kim. That was the best/realest fight in reality TV history, Chrissy punched the s**t out of Kim with the right.  

   Chrissy is a true gangster and stand up type of chick. I totally understand where she was coming from because Kim could of had a better approach. If this was the first episode, I can only imagine what the rest of the season is looking like; stay tuned every Monday @ 9pm only on Vh1.
